Faintly Blowing

8" lathe-cut - Friends of the Fish 79

limited to 100 copies
sorry - sold out

The Chemistry Set's Dave McLean unleashes his first solo release - an epic version of Kaleidoscope's 'Faintly Blowing' - and it's freakingly wonderful! ...Ian McCann from Record Collector got to hear it first and was so knocked out by what he heard he has already reviewed it...

Meanwhile, Jason Barnard (of The Strange Brew Podcast) sent a preview to Peter Daltrey of Kaleidoscope and Peter replied with, "It's always puzzled me why our catalogue was not covered by other bands, this version is true to the original but Dave has put his own stamp on it, I particularly liked the ending"

There were only 100 8" lathe-cut singles produced.

Requests for copies closed in late-March (to be fair, you had about two months to declare an interest), we had over 250 requests for 100 copies so a lucky draw took place and 'lucky winners' have been notified.
Sorry if you've missed out, but don't despair - Dave hopes to issue a CD single later this year with a third 'bonus' mix. Digital editions (with the bonus mix) will be available from Dave around the end of April. Initially on bandcamp, where they pay the artists the most. Later on iTunes etc.

(and before you ask, 100 lathe-cuts is the absolute limit for Phil the lathecutter before he goes mad - he has to listen to every copy being cut individually).
