How did you get involved in the first place? Always loved music. Selling online initially and then record fairs and the shop kind of just happened when I wasn’t even looking (must be destiny)
What do you specialise in - new/secondhand? chart/independent/specialist? local/national/international? any particular genres? vinyl/CD? LPs/singles?
Our stock is predominately used vinyl but we have a varied selection of new vinyl reissues and new vinyl releases. We also stock used CDs, cassettes and 7” singles. We encourage customers to give us a shout if there’s anything they want us to order in for them.
Do you offer a mail order service? We sell new and used stock that’s featured on social media and can order in new releases etc
Can you describe your typical customer? Our customers vary from young to old and have diverse taste in music
Which two or three artists are you currently seeing most demand for? The Smiths and The Stone Roses
How to you see the next two or three years for the shop? The shop is relatively new as far as record shops go and many people don’t know it’s here. I’m always looking at expanding and refining what we offer to cater for all tastes
How do you feel about Record Store Day? It was originally designed to encourage people to support independent record shops. In many ways that mission has now been accomplished
Do you run any in-shop signings/live sessions? There’s potential for some in 2025
