US psych band Sidewalk Society have been regular contributors to FdM over the years - at least up to the point when the band went into hibernation - culminating with their brilliant remake of The Action's 'Strange Roads' LP.

A bit of background on the band - Dan West and Dan Lawrence grew up together. they met at junior high school in Los Angeles and shared a love for The Who; they were obsessed with ’60s music and style from a very young age and began playing together. They played in various bands but Sidewalk Society wasn't formed until they got together with drummer Jerry Buszek.

Their first recording for Fruits de Mer was a cover of The Bee Gees' 'Red Chair, Fade Away', back in 2010, and went on to deliver always-classy remakes of songs by The Kinks, The Small Faces, The Pretty Things, David Bowie and more...

An Introduction to Sidewalk Society will be a double CD, pulling together all the band's individual tracks for Fruits de Mer, with a selection of bonus songs from their non-FdM back-catalogue PLUS the complete 'Strange Roads' LP on CD for the first time.
